The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of building control, excellent communication skills and a can do approach. You will have a positive attitude to team working and continuous improvement. Customer focus and a business oriented approach is key.

Starting salary will be commensurate with the skills and experience that you bring to the post.

You will carry out a full range of building control activities and will organise your own case load.

An awareness of safety of sports grounds legislation would be desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Full range of Buiding Control duties including plan vetting, site nspections, dangerous structures and enforcement. 

Essential qualifications/skills
A proven recent track record and an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of building control and allied legislation. A degree in the relevant subject and / or membership of a relevant institute is essential.
Desirable qualifications/skills
Excellent communication and organisational skills
You will be pro active and enthusiastic
Ability to plan and coordinate a wide range of short, medium and long term tasks. You will be able to manage a busy caseload.
A positive attitude to team working and training, be customer focused and business orientated.
Good IT skills, accurate record keeping and effective communication skills.
A full, clean driving license and use of a car is also essential for business purposes.
