Responsibilities

Ensure all building works in the District meet the requirements of the Building Regulations and other relevant legislation and standards. 

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations and standards to provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders. 

Collaborate with local authorities, construction professionals, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and compliant building projects.

Drive continuous improvement in building inspection processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 

Manage workload and resources effectively to meet inspection targets and deadlines. 

Essential qualifications/skills
Full membership with RICS or CABE.
Commitment to continual professional development.
Registration with Building Safety Regulator (Class 2 minimum).
Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable qualifications in energy calculations, fire risk assessments, or sound testing
